These programs help them navigate adolescence in healthy ways and empower them with a sense of usefulness and responsibility while defining clear and attainable goals at various developmental stages.

We promote fun and enriching activities such as:

After school programs (academic support, mentoring initiatives, book clubs)

Learn to swim programs (healthy exercise habits, teamwork)

Drowning prevention workshops

Aquaculture (Fish Farming)

Cameroon’s overall unemployment rate was 3.5% in 2024. Meanwhile, youth unemployment, a key challenge for the country, stood at approximately 6.2 % in2024, significantly above the national average and highlighting persistent barriers to stable work for young people.

To help address these challenges, we run a training program in aquaculture (fish farming) for young and unemployed individuals as a sustainable livelihood pathway. Through this program, participants receive hands‑on training and support to launch and manage their own fish farms, equipping them with practical skills and a pathway to self‑employment.

Several Cameroonian youths have shown strong interest and are steadily gaining skills that will help them establish farms, boost production, and improve their standards of living. By empowering participants in this way, we aim not only to reduce unemployment but also to alleviate hunger and poverty in their communities.
